Gandhara Digital Twin
High-fidelity AI preservation and 3D archiving of cultural heritage.

The work
Gandhara’s black schist absorbs light, so photogrammetry fails and infrared scanners return noisy point clouds. This programme solves it with industrial blue-laser scanning and an AI neural-fusion pipeline — ingestion, alignment, meshing and 8K/16K texturing — producing scientific master archives, web-ready models and 3D-printable twins for 100+ artifacts, published through a searchable Smart Portal.

What it does
- First validated scanning standard for black schist — a published Acquisition Parameter Guide
- .OBJ master archives at 50M polygons, .GLB web models, .STL physical twins
- Semantic tagging — period, material, provenance — keeps the archive machine-readable
